Frequently Asked Questions

Who do you work with?

I support adults aged 18+, including students, people in high-stress professions, women during peri-menopause and menopause, and older adults aiming to optimise cognitive health and reduce the risk of age-related cognitive decline. I have lived and clinical experience of autism and ADHD and can tailor dietetic and nutritional advice to help neurodiverse clients.

Do I have to have a diagnosed mental health condition to be eligible for your dietetic services?

No. I support people with diagnosed conditions and those who simply feel “not themselves”  due to experiencing ‘brain fog’ or  low mood, anxiety, burnout, poor sleep or unwanted changes in their appetite and weight.

When we are not feeling well in ourselves, our eating habits can be negatively impacted due to various reasons such as low energy levels or poor appetite, comfort or emotional eating. This can exacerbate our mood and may worsen an existing mental health condition. I can help you to take small steps to prioritise your health and well being and simplify eating healthier.

Can you work alongside my GP or psychiatrist?

Yes. Nutrition is not a replacement for medical care or medication. I aim to complement your existing treatment and, where appropriate, can provide letters or summaries for your healthcare team.

How many sessions will I need?

Many people start with an initial consultation and  2-3 follow ups each month. The length of support varies for each person and depends on your individual goals, challenges and the time requires to achieve sustainable health outcomes.  We can discuss what feels realistic for you.

Is this suitable if I have an eating disorder?

I do not currently provide treatment if you have a diagnosis of an eating disorder. as effective treatment requires specialist, multidisciplinary care involving a wider clinical team. If during the consultation we agree that you may have an eating disorder we can discuss your concerns and  I may recommend seeking support from your GP or a private specialist services.
